Classic Chilean Sauvignon Blanc with notes of zesty lime, guava, gooseberry, grapefruit and fresh-cut grass on the nose. It’s crisp and vibrant in the mouth with lime, citrus, subtle tropical fruits and a clean, fresh finish.
Aromas of bright strawberry, cherry and vanilla notes followed by a well-defined varietal palate with savoury hints and some mineral undertones. Approachable, well-integrated tannins supported by spice and oak with good acidity through the close.
Clear medium-deep gold. Intense aromas of grapefruit, apricots, guava and more. Medium-bodied with high lemon-lime acidity and flavours of mango, pineapple and lime. Good value. Best now.
Scent of ripe grapefruit with a whiff of herb yields to lemon citrus and yellow tropical-fruit flavours with refreshingly light acidity and a long, fruity finish. Easy drinking, good value.
One of my favourite LBVs. Great depth of colour; a nose of mulberries, dried figs and milk chocolate with vanilla-oak notes — flavours that enrich the palate. Perfect for blue cheeses or chocolate desserts.
This wine is a dead ringer for a quality Graves/Pessac-Léognan. 30% of the grapes were kiln-dried, and then the entirety was aged in new barrels for 8 months. Aromas of grass, spice, lemon-lime, tropical fruit, white pepper and apple are complemented by flavours of honey, white flowers and grapefruit. It finishes on a green note. There is very good length, and it is made to pair with goat cheese/ vegetable pizza or grilled mahi mahi brochettes marinated in Dijon, olive oil and oregano.
A nose of plum, cherries, cassis, currants, smoky cedar, spice and sandalwood-clove notes. Just lovely on the palate with grit and tannin to match ripe dark and red fruits, mocha-vanilla spices, and a lingering finish. Serve with smoked ribs.
