Pale yellow. Citrus, a touch of exotic fruits and a hint of white flowers. Light, very fresh taste thanks to its excellent acidity, some carbonic gas and elevated finish (bitterness). At only 10.5% alcohol, it is perfect to wash down hors-d’oeuvres or white fish. Drink now.
Great intensity and structure with black cherry, fig, raisin and currants; beautiful silky texture with firm tannins, great balance and a fresh, lifted long-lasting finish. Delicious and rich, but still elegant and immensely drinkable. Complimenti!
Clear pale yellow. Faint nose of peach and melon. Light-bodied with lemon-lime flavours, a hint of cucumber, and a crisp, minerally finish. Good as an apéritif, or with a fatty fish like salmon.
An elegant frame supports cherry, raspberry, rhubarb, beetroot, iron, vanilla and spice. Fresh acidity and suave tannins add support. Magret de canard would be bliss!
A blended malt whisky comprised of Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kininvie, Monkey Shoulder is made with the mixologist in mind, but its smooth intricacies — peaches, honey, chocolate, vanilla and Christmas spices — could sway the most seasoned scotch drinker.
This offering is an off-dry Chenin, along the lines of a ripe Vouvray Demi-Sec. Light yellow in colour, there is Golden Delicious apple, mango, wet wool, minerals, citrus and honey, which are supported by the crisp acidity. Pair it with goat cheese– and asparagus-stuffed crepes or scallops in a Dijon cream sauce.
After DNA analysis, the Zinfandel grape of California was found to be the same as the Primitivo grape grown in southern Italy and Sicily. This is a big wine. Dense purple in colour with an intense nose of black plums and vanilla oak. Full-bodied and richly extracted, it offers fruity, ripe plum and cocoa flavours. A carnivore’s wine if ever there was one.
