This bouquet of this Grenache blend reminds me of the herbs that grow wild on the hills in the Midi mingled with aromas of chocolate and blackberries. Its opulent texture fills the mouth with sweet blackberry fruit that lingers on the palate for an unconscionable time.
Classic Chilean Sauvignon Blanc with notes of zesty lime, guava, gooseberry, grapefruit and fresh-cut grass on the nose. It’s crisp and vibrant in the mouth with lime, citrus, subtle tropical fruits and a clean, fresh finish.
I have been following this domaine for over a decade and once again, this cuvée is a stunner. Full body with a complex palate made of sun-ripe aromas of blackberries and dark plum balanced by savory dried herbs and earthy notes. The ripe yet firm tannins give good structure to the generosity of fruit. Lamb tagine is calling.
A Syrah, Carignan and Mourvèdre blend. Deep purple in colour with a savoury, herbal nose of black raspberries; medium-bodied, dry, mulberry flavour carried on fresh acidity.
The fresh nose wafts scents of floral, herbs and raspberry bush. Vibrant acidity, taut texture and lighter-bodied frame enhance its red-berry flavour and lingering mineral finish, flecked by cranberry and rhubarb. Serve slightly chilled to brighten its earthy fruit. Very vegetarian-friendly.
Medium yellow. Medium-intensity nose of green apple and hay. Medium-bodied, tastes of Granny Smith apples and lemon zest, with high acidity. Refreshing and versatile food wine. Drink right away.
Clear, deep brass. The aromas are not bold, but distinctly Sauternes-like, with caramel and spice. Viscous, grapey with apricot and rose-petal flavours, and thankfully the sweetness does not overpower as the finish lingers and lingers. This is a rare and memorable experience. Savour on its own, or with pears poached in white wine with cardamom and saffron and a drizzle of caramel.
