Pale ruby, orange rim. Typical nose of tar and red flowers, only hints of oak. Rather full-bodied but not as much as Nebbiolo can sometimes be, with firm and tight but very finely grained tannins. Compact finish. It should become more expressive over time.
There is no denying that this wine is consistently one of Ontario’s top rosés. Mid-weight, there is a salmon colour and a personality of strawberry, rhubarb, cherry, peach, red flowers, herbs and dried earth. Delicate, but lengthy and ideal with sushi.
Ruby colour with a bouquet of cherries, spicy oak and a floral top note. A fuller style of red Burgundy, ripe with gentle tannins; age-worthy, already showing an excellent aging potential.
This the first Baco Noir to be elevated to the estate’s top-tier Family Reserve status. It has a rich and savoury nose of cassis, blueberry, bramble, liquorice and bold spice notes. It’s ripe and big on the palate with a heady fruit profile of cassis, currants and blueberry with rich barrel spices and cracked black peppercorns.
Lots of caramel on the nose with flavours of dried figs, orange peel, and a touch of spice, well balanced without the overt alcohol present in so many fortified wines. Very pleasurable and drinkable. Perfect with strongly flavoured cheeses, toasted nuts and dried fruits.
Mainly estate-grown Merlot, with equal parts of 19% Pinot Gris and Malbec, yields vibrant rhubarb and red fruit on top followed by a medium-weight, fruit-driven palate of juicy strawberry, melon and some floral notes with moderate acidity through a fresh finish.
A special bottling that sees oak for 12 years. The nose shows sweet vanilla, oak-inspired spices, caramel, toffee, dried fruits and subtle peat smoke. It’s like velvet on the palate, so smooth and rich with smoky/creamy dried fruits, toasted vanilla and toffee flavours that linger on the finish.
