Cave’s entry off-dry Riesling delivers the goods in the 2014 vintage. Expressive; there is smoky minerals, peach, lime, apple and petrol. Refreshing, with a long lime finale.
A dry and easy-drinking rosé with flavours of strawberry, raspberry, pink grapefruit and hints of pepper. Good length, fresh acid and ready for patio sipping or charcuterie boards.
Harvested at a meagre 1 ton per acre, this is a concentrated, medium-bodied Riesling with a superb acid/sugar balance. Peach, honey, minerals, lime and white flowers are layered on the long finish.
This red always delivers the goods at a fair price! A blend of 50% Cab Sauv, 30% Merlot, 10% Cab Franc and 10% Sangiovese serves up cassis, raspberry, dark cherry, mint, vanilla and spice. Drink now or cellar for another 5 years — the choice is yours.
Clear medium-deep lemon yellow. Interesting medium-intensity nose of gooseberry, lemon, orange blossom, pineapple, even a bit of ground coriander. Medium-bodied with good acidity and a long finish. Tastes of pineapple, lime, lemon and a bit of lychee. Complex and elegant, an SB to be savoured, not quaffed. Drink soon.
A wine of great charm and elegance for the price. Very pale lime in colour, it has an intense nose of lavender and orange; light- to medium-bodied on the palate, it’s dry and perfumed with lychee and melon flavours. Great value
Still a work in progress, this one offers raspberry scents and a bit of forest-floor character with blackberry and chocolate flavours. Tannins are manageable but youthful acidity needs time to settle down.
