Zesty wild berry, peppery spice and green herb carry through on the palate with lively wild berry (brambleberry) flavours together with peppery and herbal notes and a light splash of chocolate. Easy to like and a good match for charcuterie, grills and pizza.
This is the first vintage for Pinot Noir in winemaker Sandra Oldfield’s top-tier collection. The wine spent one year in French oak barrels, followed by three years in bottle. What a gorgeous Pinot. The nose shows bramble, cherry-vanilla, raspberry bush, lavender, rosehips and pomegranate. It’s textured and layered on the palate with cherry-kirsch and anise flavours bolstered by oak and warm spices. It has length through the finish and is balanced nicely by racy acidity.
This wicked blend of Pinot Blanc (80%) and Pinot Noir (20%) washes away the memories of all those candy-floss rosés in just one sip. There’s a deliberate nod to Provence here, with a pale salmon hue and lusciously refreshing strawberry notes that hover over a pleasing nice mineral streak with a crisp, clean finish.
Mellow citrus, apple and floral scents with an intriguing minty overtone lead the way for smoothly rounded ripe green apple and secondary citrus flavours, with stony mineral on the harmoniously balanced palate.
Straw-coloured with a nose of lime, this wine also offers a nose of apple and toasty oak with a barnyard note; it’s full-bodied, dry, richly extracted fruit with lively acidity.
Partially affected by noble rot, this is Chenin what with its honey, wax, mushroom, chamomile, apricot and bruised apple. Rich, off-dry and long-lasting, with some warmth on the finale. Pair with a torchon of foie gras or red curry dishes.
Only 2 barrels were made of this Pinot that spent 8 months in all-new oak. It shows ripe cherry, raspberry, smoke and bramble on the nose. It’s nicely structured on the palate with cherry-bramble-earth flavours to go with oak-inspired spices and ripe tannins. Racy acidity; firm and pretty Pinot with a long and graceful life ahead.
