Rich nose with generous notes of butter, hazelnut, vanilla, toast and lemon rind that mingle. Equally bold on the palate but refined and elegant with fresh acid, a full body and a long lingering finish. A big congrats to Thomas Bachelder. History was made again by reviving Le Clos Jordanne. Limited edition.
Deep plum red with fine particles in suspension and some sediment. Aromas of fig, raisin, hazelnut and some seductive floral accents. Full-bodied and rich, tasting like a fruitcake, with good acidity and soft tannins. At or near its peak now.
This is your quintessential steak wine. Medium-plus body; there is cassis, smoke, mint, vanilla, violets, herbs and mint. Ripe and flavourful, it has the potential to cellar for a couple of years, if so desired.
Cool black fruit from a warm place, one freshened with altitude and not hemmed in with oak. There is certainly wood here, but it is only 1/3 new, and partially offset by the altitude of three zones of Uco Valley ranging from 1100 to 1400 miles above sea level: Vistaflores, Gualtallary, and Altamira. Smoked black and red fruits, anise, perfumed wild blueberries, peppercorns, all amply sun-ripened and with the full impact of grainy tannins. Swings of cola are slung across the finish of this warm Malbec, one destined to be best encountered with fire grilled beef.
Dark ruby. Intense nose of red fruits, floral notes and smooth oak. Nice tannic structure; firm and tight. Delicate acidity. The tight finish is a sign of a great future.
Juicy and vivid with blackberry, plum and blueberry fruit, an intriguing meatiness, firm but silky tannins and a bit of savoury spice on the long, mouth-watering finish.
