Deep, slightly murky brownish-garnet. Medium nose of dates, raisins, burnt sugar and oak, later opening to a touch of lilac. On the palate the mostly raspberry fruit tastes fresher than it looks or smells. Acidity is high, tannins at a medium level. Drink yesterday.
An elegant blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Canaiolo, with persistent nuances of floral, fruit and wood spice throughout. The judicious balance of fresh acidity and fleshy tannins make for a food-friendly, medium-bodied red. A solid choice for Italian dishes.
Herbal aromas, mint, menthol and white balsamic, tropical fruit notes, slightly oily texture with soft acidity, the herbal character is quite concentrated. Pairs as well with whitefish as it does with roast pork.
Blend of Malbec (36%), Cab Sauv (35%), Merlot (2%) and Cab Franc (1%) yields toasty notes with dark berry and smoky hints of black fruit and cassis on the nose. Followed by spicy black pepper and leathery hints with juicy acidity on a structured palate wrapped in well-integrated tannins before a generous ending. Excellent value.
A bold and expressive nose of pear, apple, marzipan, ginger and zingy lime zest. Showing pure elegance on the palate, this substantive and complex Gris balances honeydew melon, pear and apple fruits with exotic spices, mineral and a subtle sweetness that is balanced by racy acidity. Age this for awhile to be totally smitten.
Juicy and fresh with cherry, plum and raspberry flavours; fine length and intensity with pepper and a hint of earth on the balanced, lifted finish. Chill slightly and serve with charcuterie.
Honey, candied peach, apple concentrate and sponge toffee are all present in this sticky. Excellent length with solid acidity. Pair with an apricot and almond custard tart.
