This full-bodied Chardonnay is straw-coloured with a spicy, tropical nose. The richly extracted fruit is sweet, augmented by toasty oak that lingers on the palate. Big enough to stand up to grilled tuna or even a veal chop if you prefer white wines.
This winter-hearty grape shows promise in this region just south of Lake Ontario. Brambly raspberry, tobacco and crushed-leaf aromas, with savoury red-berried flavours on the medium-bodied frame. Lingers with spice, cedar and dried herbs. The bright acidity ensures food-friendliness.
Ruby-purple in colour with a cedary, spicy, blueberry nose topped by a pencil lead note; medium-bodied, dry, blackcurrant flavour, well-extracted fruit with nicely integrated oak and a dry, savoury finish. Good value.
From southwest facing, gravelly, stony glacial fluvial soils on the home vineyard, Aromas of wild red berries with interesting darker notes before a well structured palate wrapped in bright acidity, layered with mineral and earthy spice notes, quite generous mouthfeel with dark cherry flavours through the finish. Excellent Pinot value.
Elegant and understated yet fresh and bright with a nice approachability. Cherry, strawberry and cranberry flavours with notes of fresh herbs, tea, earth and a hint of oak with a pleasant, soft bit of acidity on the finish. A nice match with braised rabbit.
Bright and lively with flint and citrus notes, a touch of gooseberry, chive flower, asparagus juice and sea salt with a zippy mouthfeel and a clean, mouth-watering finish.
Light blush in colour with attractively scented red berry, floral and vanilla biscuit on the nose and lively berry fruit with subtle cherry and cranberry flavours supported by good, persistent mousse. Finishes with mineral grip, bracing but not overbearing acidity and a hint of caramel. Certified organic.
