Opens with delicately scented spring flowers with characteristic Riesling lemon citrus, incisive mineral and petrol notes on the nose. Medium weight in the mouth with crisp citrus and green fruit, mineral and well-balanced acidity with a touch of kiwi fruit on the finish. Solid, food-friendly Alsatian style.
From 20 year old vines on Keremeos middle bench. Whole cluster pressed and cold fermented with some lees contact for added texture. Lifted orchard fruit and stone fruit aromas lead to a precisely focused but generous palate of citrus and tropical flavours under bright apple and pear notes. A hallmark of well-balanced acidity lingers through the finish. The lack of oak allows for the purest of varietal expressions.
Floral fragrance with cherry and dry, savoury aromas give way to rounded, elegant raspberry and dark-cherry flavours on the palate. Still shows youthful acidity and rather stiff tannins, but with a promise of velvety smoothness to come. Has the solid fruit and structure to reward patient cellaring.
This wine takes its inspiration from the “Gentil” Alsatian-style white blends: in this case, Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Auxerrois. It opens with elegant, soft floral perfume, hints of rose petals, citrus and ripe stone fruit. Crisp citrus leads off in the mouth, backed by brisk acidity and chalky mineral grip. White peach notes emerge on the crisply dry back palate with a delicate touch of balancing sweetness.
A traditional Belgian unfiltered blond style with a frothy, persistent head and nutty, yeasty and fruity citrus aromas. Lightly sour yeasty flavours contrast with citrusy sweetness and a touch of nutty malt on the drying finish.
Clear deep garnet. Fairly intense nose of ripe blue and black berries; also maple syrup. Lightish-bodied, cranberry and raspberry fruit-driven with marked acidity. Good match for a casual shepherd’s pie dinner. Drink soon.
Fermented with native yeast and aged in large concrete tanks for 11 months. Lifted red fruits, cherry and strawberry notes precede a medium-bodied palate with supple tannins and fresh-crushed berry notes over a darker, savoury background with some earthy undertones and spice notes.
