Clear, deep old brass. The nose of honey, caramel-apple and noble rot goes on forever. Full-bodied, palate-coating; tastes of apricot-pineapple marmalade with a long finish and enough acidity to keep it interesting. Ready to drink now, won’t get better.
Opens with dark, developed fruit on the nose with a lick of liquorice, together with background mushroom and barnyard aromas. Primary blackberry fruit on the palate is less forward than the nose suggests. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and appetizing acidity, it finishes with ample fruit, dark chocolate and firm tannic grip.
Clear deep purple-garnet. Medium-intensity nose with plum, date, raisin and coconut from the oak. Medium-bodied with more oak flavours over ripe sour cherries. Alcohol tastes prominently. Drink in 2018.
Combining the Bordeaux grapes of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this red shows earthy red fruits, blackcurrants on the edge, savory spice notes and campfire smoke. The Cabernet Franc dominates the palate with notes of dried herbs, sage, red berries, oak spice, good acidity and length through the finish. Good-value Niagara red wine.
This estate lies in the Hérault subregion known for its substantial temperature variations, lending both richness and freshness. The well-balanced blend of spicy Syrah, jammy Grenache and earthy Carignan is a joy to drink, from lively spiced nose to fruit-laden palate to savoury finish. Enjoy with artisanal cheese.
Lovely and seductive, this Pinot beguiles with red berry-fruit: cherry, raspberry and strawberry. Add red flowers, spice and herbal notes, and you have a complex wine ready to paid alongside boeuf bourguignon or grilled quail.
