Cobblestone Stout has gone organic. Made with a mix of organic pale malt from the prairies and organic roasted malt from the UK, the stout has roasted coffee and subtle vanilla bean flavour with low astringency. The mouthfeel is luscious and velvety with soft carbonation. Try it with Saint Agur, a blue cheese with a tangy bite.
The Pinot Gris grapes are from the estate organic Switchback Vineyard. Such a creamy, fragrant wonder on the nose. Rich, deep and earthy notes of bruised apple, cantaloupe, brown sugar and almond paste. It has weight and viscosity on the palate, some tannins and shows pie crust, apple filling and citrus in a muscular style.
A real bargain here. Deep ruby colour. Spicy-cedary, black raspberry nose. Medium-bodied and dry with a floral note. Inky and fruity with a firm tannic finish.
Dense purple colour; spicy, plum nose with vanilla oak notes; medium-bodied, dry, fruity but firm. An easy drinking wine.
The nose is still somewhat closed but does reveal typical cherry and dark plum character. More forward on the palate, though, with a generous mouthful of powerfully concentrated yet refined dark fruit, fine spice and Baker’s Chocolate. Well-balanced, solid tannic structure and long harmonious finish.
Intense cherry-scented aromatics lead the way for black cherry backed by firm, dry tannins, medium weight and bracing acidity on the palate.
A blend of Merlot from three distinct terroirs around Languedoc makes up this bright and fresh red. Plum, wild blackberry, light dough, stones, with a pure fruited core and lovely fine spicing on this brisk, herbal finish. Hits far beyond its price; Easy to drink, easy to like.
