It’s an amped-up Belgian witbier with hops and a firm, long, bitter finish. This creamy brew is golden-hued with a fluffy white head, banana and light spice on the nose, flavours of light orange, and some black-pepper sweetness in the background. Perfect for pairing with fruit-forward summer salads and spicy chicken curry burgers.
A delicious and persistent blend of Pinot Noir, Zweigelt and St. Laurent. Light salmon in colour, creamy texture; bright delicate and pure flavours of red cherries, strawberries, wild berries, citrus and spice. Elegant and minerally with great balance and a mouthwatering finish. Shellfish, salmon tartar, roasted pork and poultry would all match nicely. A very well-made sparkling.
Clear medium-deep garnet. Lots of oak on the nose, overlaying sour cherry, leather and black pepper aromas. Jam-packed with simple but ripe strawberry and plum flavours accented with soft acidity. Drink up.
Palomino is a white grape that typically finds its way in Sherry, but this bodega crafts a characterful white from it. Full body with appealing salty and roasted almond notes and a charming oxidative profile. The slight bitterness compensates for the moderate acidity. A wine made to shine with food: Manchego and roasted almond for the aperitif and mushroom risotto for the main course.
Made by the same folks as Ducru-Beaucaillou. Not from a celebrated vintage year. Clear, very deep garnet. Medium nose, mostly woody with raisin, fig and plum aromas. Strong tannins on the palate, tasting of ripe raspberries with good acidity. The fruit is about to start falling away, drink up.
Pale bright yellow. Citrus, dry minerality and a hint of asparagus. Good intensity. Vivid acidity, nice balance between the mineral and fruit flavours. The intense finish is very dry. Oysters would be perfect.
Citrus, tropical fruit and floral scent give way to light lemon citrus flavour; a lick of tropical fruit with refreshing acidity and a clean fresh finish.
