This ever-reliable Pinot Gris shows delicate floral scents with lively green fruit and a light trace of green herb. Generous yellow and green fruit flavours come in a rounded texture with a suggestion of honey. Contrasting brisk acidity and gravelly mineral kick in on the finish.
Opens with fruity malt and herbal, hoppy scents. Smooth, full-flavoured, sweet raisiny richness in the mouth is offset by balancing hoppy bitterness on the long, fruity finish. A heady brew.
An extremely appealing pure nose with a mix of fresh crushed raspberries and strawberries. Equally charming on the palate with soft tannins, a silky texture and fresh acid. Light on its feet and dangerously easy to drink if slightly chilled. Fantastic value and, I would say, barbecued pork’s best friend. Would also accompany Dim Sum well.
Elegantly scented nose reveals floral, spicy and caramel notes with a subtle pencil box overtone. Very rounded and smooth on the palate, showing citrusy dried fruit, caramel and sweet spicy notes. Dries out on the very long oaky and nutty finish.
This is a superb value in the realm of Chablis! This textbook example starts off with a pale straw colour and then heads into a mélange of lemons, minerals and green apples. There is very good length and brisk acidity, which makes you want to shuck a dozen or so oysters … and go to town!
Purplish. Oak and ripe black fruits dominate the nose. Very nice fruity taste, expressive; tannins are fully wrapped, but their power is still felt beneath the fruit. Oak is very present but not obtrusive. A nice glass of hearty red on a cold autumn evening.
Beautifully floral with peach aromas and flavours, vibrant, minerally and fresh with great complexity, balance and an uplifted finish. Refreshing and mouth-filling on its own, but a tremendously versatile wine with shellfish, white meat and Asian cuisine.
