Opens with fragrant violets, blueberry, black plum, vanilla and white pepper. Ripe dark berries and chocolate fill the full-bodied palate, buttressed by plush tannins and 14 months in French and American oak. Cracked pepper and gamey notes on the finish. Not shy, so can handle well-marinated meats.
A well-priced Napa Chardonnay with the oak influence of cinnamon and vanilla working in tandem with banana, yellow apple, pineapple and cream. There is sound acidity which gives lift. Pair with fish tacos topped with tropical fruits salsas.
Another smartly priced organic Chablis that over-delivers. This shows the beauty of the classic 2010 vintage with pure lemon, grapefruit and focused flinty minerality. Quite fresh and vibrant on the palate and soaked in juicy citrus goodness that makes you want one sip after another. Bring on the oysters or pair with poached salmon.
Very pale, grey rim. Minerally, with citrus and a light petrol note for a classic Riesling nose. Delicate taste and light body; semi-dry in the middle palate but the finish is almost dry.
The blend for this Okanagan white is 47% Sauvignon Blanc, 17% Sémillon, 16% Viognier, 14% Chardonnay and 6% Muscat. The nose is fresh and lively with a range of tropical fruits, lime, peach, lemon, subtle herbs and spice. It’s juicy and ripe on the palate with flavours of peach cobbler, tropical notes, citrus accents and underlying herbs, all delivered with mouthwatering acidity on the finish.
A Sangiovese that spends 18 months in oak and a further 6 months in bottle before it’s released. It possesses a classic old-school nose of violets, earth, red fruits, toasted oak and spice. In the mouth, this juicy wine shows its stuff — plums, bramble fruit, spice, firm tannins, tar and vibrant core of acidity. Cellar 5 years.
Intensely aromatic bouquet shows floral and ripe yellow tree fruit. Fine fruit flavours suggest apple, pear and citrus, with plenty of depth, vibrant acidity and a nice touch of gravely mineral on the finish.
