Aged entirely in sherry cask which accounts for some of the sultana/fruitcake aromas that intermingle with tar, smoke, dark chocolate and a kiss of vanilla bean. Viscous and fruity with traces of mineral and perfect balance. Very rich — like the malt version of a plush leather armchair.
Fragrant green-apple scent with equally lively fresh green fruit and a trace of lime on the palate. Finish is drier than usual and is the better for it. Very refreshing, the way Prosecco should be.
Here is an Aussie rendering of a Moscato d’Asti. Slightly frothy, the perfume of peaches, flowers and marmalade pulls the taster into its aura. It is sweet, with added nuances of honey and spice on the palate. Light bodied and refreshing, it is tailor made as a late evening summer sipper, or a lovely addition to homemade fruit salad. Serve it well chilled.
Elegant and clean nose of red fruits and flowers. Supple and fruity, balance is slightly on the acid side, but not enough to be problematic. Perfect if you’re so inclined. Drink now.
Pale straw colour with hint of green; a nose of struck flint, cut grass and peapods. Medium-bodied, dry with some residual sweetness in mid-palate balanced on the finish with lively citrus acidity.
Big and bold with loads of black fruit, dark cocoa and vanilla, structured with a tight core, firm tannins and a big finish. Needs time and will benefit with several hours in a decanter if the plan is to drink it now. Better to forget about it in the cellar for at least 3 to 5 years.
Deep amber colour; nutty, dried fig nose; full-bodied, dry, rich, spicy fig and nut flavours; good intensity on the palate and great length, Amazing value for the price.
