Dark ruby with a purple rim. Sweet, ripe red fruits, vanilla-scented oak and pastry notes. Soft texture, full body and ripe-fruit taste. The mellow tannins are barely felt in the pleasant finish. Ready to drink.
A lovely wine with aromas and flavours of pear, citrus and nectarine. It fills out the mouth with a fleshy texture with maintaining firm acidity and minerality on the juicy finish. A great wine with shellfish.
Brewed in the traditional style of the Carmelite nuns, which goes back to the 17th century, this one displays a very persistent, creamy soft head with light yeasty malt aromas. Smooth, fruity and lightly sweet in the mouth, it is perilously easy to drink. Finishes with light, nutty bitterness. The high alcohol is barely noticeable until you attempt to stand up.
Stone and chalky notes on the nose before a citrus and grapefruit palate with good structure and emphatic acidity that supports a surprisingly textured, quite full body with lingering minerality. Wild yeast and very early picked, for a delightfully idiosyncratic wine.
A blend of 70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 5% red wine. Structure and full body where power and finesse meet. Generous yet precise aromas of red cherries, cranberries, tobacco and brioche supported by light presence of chalky tannins and vibrant acidity. Long, lingering finish. A very complex wine that keeps on changing from sip to sip as it opens up. Best enjoyed with food; smoked salmon would be a dream.
Bright and fresh aromas and flavours of ripe fruit, blackcurrant, dark cherry, mocha and a touch of vanilla and spice with a juicy freshness on the finish. Fresh enough to enjoy on its own, but with enough structure to enjoy with both white and red meats.
Opens with aromatic ripe tropical and citrus fruit with some grassy herbal freshness and discernable pineapple and exotic floral perfume. Ripe citrus and tropical fruit flavours are tempered by dry mineral grip and zesty acidity. Attractive stone-fruit note kicks in on the finish. Plenty of charm and great value.
