Alluring aromas of berries, plum, earth and spice give way to a structured wine filled with boysenberry, plum and blackberry fruit flavours, with firm, elegant tannins. Multi-layered, ripe but not overdone, and long on the finish. Nicely focused and balanced. Grilled lamb chops would be a great match.
A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Full-bodied and debonair; there is plum, cassis, fraise de bois, sweet cherry, tobacco and chocolate. Long-lasting and 15 years of life ahead.
Developed dark berry & mulberry fruit with clove, allspice and a suggestion of pencil box on the nose. Not as developed as the nose suggests, though, showing forward acidity and slightly harsh tannins over thick blackberry fruit. Good fruit and subtle oak on the finish, but needs more time to integrate.
From a warm vintage comes this soft Riesling, revealing peach, honey, lime cordial, white flower and some minerality. Off-dry and approachable, chill well and serve with sushi or General Tao chicken.
Clear medium gold. Powerful nose of pear, orange and butterscotch. Full-bodied, tasting of apricots with honey and crushed hazelnuts. Serve this on the cool side — otherwise the flavours can be overpowering. One of my favourite wines. Will improve to 2020, then age gracefully in a cold cellar for another 5 years.
Dense ruby colour with a mature rim. A lovely nose of blackcurrants and cherries; full on the palate with velvety mouthfeel. Dry, elegant; firmly structured with good length.
Ruby/garnet. Red fruits and green pepper on the rather shy nose. Firm and full in the mouth, its compact body shows a 5 to 7 years aging potential. Will improve and become more complex if you’re patient.
