A lasting rim of foam crowns the dark brown liquid. Malty on the nose with caramel and roasted hops notes that persist in the rich mouthfeel, filling the palate with tasty, unsweetened dark caramel. An ounce of bitterness energizes the finish.
Rich creamy texture with bright notes of lemon and wet stone balanced by fresh acid. Will please the Burgundy lover seeking for typicity without breaking the bank. A match for skate cooked in butter with lemon and capers.
Shows very dark, stout-like colour with aromas of nutty dry malt and a hint of dark chocolate. Smoothly rounded on the palate with milk and dark chocolate and fruity and malty flavours. Finishes with preserved fruit, chocolate, dry hops and spicy, rum-infused warming alcohol. A complex, smooth, powerful brew, and dangerously easy to drink!
Full ruby. Classic nose of blackberries, hints of smoke and black olives. Full body; grainy texture wrapped in fruity extract. Balanced acidity, round finish of good length highlighting a precise dark cherry note.
Fruit from 80-year-old Assyrtiko vines. Pale straw in colour, you can smell the volcanic soil in which these grapes were grown — minerally, smoky melon nose; medium-bodied with a crisply dry crabapple flavour carried on lively acidity.
An Alberto Antonini project, Enamore is an Amarone-style wine, where grapes are dried appassimento-style to create a concentrated, full wine. Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Bonarda and Cabernet Franc are sweet and thicker on the full palate, with ripe and dried plum, dried blackberry, raspberry leather and pink florals drawn across thick, sueded and ― at the end ― drying tannins. Cushy, velvety, warm on the finish, think of this as a red-fruited, pink floral and lighter version of Amarone.
A pleasant surprise and new discovery. From high elevation estate vineyards over 1000 m. Forward black fruit with spicy hints before a plush and plummy mouth-filling palate with a distinct, savoury streak. Excellent value.
