Dense purple-black in colour with an inky, herbal, spicy nose of liquorice, blackberries and vanilla oak; full-bodied, sweet, spicy blackberry flavour, intense and concentrated but nicely balanced.
Well made, with banana, sweet peach, spice, cream and vanilla attributes. Soft on the palate with a fruit-driven finish. Splendid length and ready to drink.
A classic blend of 70 percent Chardonnay with Pinot Noir, whole cluster pressed and cold fermented, held en tirage for 28 months. A stream of fine bubbles precedes appealing toasty and brioche notes before a well textured palate of citrus and red berry notes underpinned by well-balanced acidity and a lengthy finish.
Robust, straight-ahead Pays d’Oc style with earthy dark plum, inky tannins and solid weight on the palate. Neither jammy nor excessively sweet, and matches well with hearty grilled or slow-cooked red meats.
A very forward Burgundy from a warm vintage. Deep ruby colour with a lifted black raspberry nose; medium-bodied, dry, richly extracted plum and blackberry flavours with ripe and pliant tannins.
The 68 on the label refers to the official land registry plot number for the exact part of the hill in Colbertaldo where these grapes are grown, 250‒320 m high. Glera is splashed with Bianchetta and Perera, here creating a near-dry fizz with light white flowers, lemon peel, tight pear and yellow apple. Some powdered stone texture and bitter pear skin closes out the light palate.
Lemon musky perfume pervades this Metodo Classico Chardonnay/Pinot Noir, with green apple, pear and ginger biscuit. This 2013 feels like it's ready for drinking right now, with the fine bubbles, soft palate and gently trailing off finish. Enjoy with scallops or lemon risotto now.
