Full ruby. Menthol and eucalyptus dominate the somewhat atypical nose for a Pinot. Nice fresh attack; tender and silky tannins have a slight bitter edge. Nice dry finish. Original.
This is one serious Merlot, which has benefited from the heat of the 2012 vintage. Full-bodied, it hits the senses with plum, blackberry, vanilla, cocoa, vanilla, anise and dried herbs. Concentrated; there is a long finale and gritty tannins, which require some more bottle age to sort themselves out. Drink from 2016 to 2021.
A classic blend of 70 percent Chardonnay with Pinot Noir, whole cluster pressed and cold fermented, held en tirage for 28 months. A stream of fine bubbles precedes appealing toasty and brioche notes before a well textured palate of citrus and red berry notes underpinned by well-balanced acidity and a lengthy finish.
Very pale, fine bubbles. Fresh fruity nose, simple but clean notes of biscuit; vinous. Clean flavour, great balance in the fruity and round mid-palate. Starts to show hints of rancio over time. Ready to drink. A characterful sparkling, worth its price.
Powerful bouquet unwraps developed red fruit and layers of fine spice. Dark cherry dominates on the thickly textured palate. Tannins remain quite firm but shift towards greater suppleness and a light mineral note on the well-integrated finish. Great fruit and structure, leaning towards power rather than finesse.
This Cab Sauv (80%) dominant blend captivates the nose with floral, blackcurrant and minty aromas. Rich cocoa and red cherry flavours ride atop velvety tannins. Finishes warm, dry and with a lingering spicy perfume. Supported by 10% Merlot with 5% each of Petit Verdot and Cab Franc. Partner with steak.
Ruby-garnet. Intense blackberry and other black fruits on the moderately oaky nose. So ripe it tastes almost sweet even though it is dry. Full and concentrated, it remains supple with a rich texture and an intense finish.
