A polished light blend of l’Acadie Blanc and Ortega grapes showing aromatic, fresh green fruit with light floral scents carrying the theme forward on the palate. Citrus and green apple flavours are supported by refreshing acidity and appetizing mineral.
Sherry may be an acquired taste, but once you have it, it can be a tremendous source of joy. This very old blend has been aged about 30 years in total, the last 10 in the unique solera system. Very hard to put in words, its nose shows notes of dried fruits, nuts, caramel and oak. Unctuous, concentrated, its taste is equally complex and hard to describe, but definitely worth trying. Unbelievable length, too.
Intensely aromatic bouquet shows floral and ripe yellow tree fruit. Fine fruit flavours suggest apple, pear and citrus, with plenty of depth, vibrant acidity and a nice touch of gravely mineral on the finish.
Pale golden yellow. Delicate nose, floral, with grapefruit and a hint of petrol. Light taste, in a typical dry Alsatian style; very enjoyable right now. Starting with the 2015 vintage, the label of Alsace wines will mention the amount of residual sugar, a welcome move.
Super fresh, with bright plum, green apple, white peach and chamomile notes, a refreshing minerality and acidity, and mouth-watering finish. Perfect with oysters, shellfish and spicy cuisine.
Dense purple in colour with a cedary, blackcurrant bouquet; full-bodied, dry with richly extracted blackcurrant and blueberry flavours. Firmly structured with ripe tannins and will reward 2 to 3 years cellaring.
A polished Ornellaia with a creamy texture and flavours of cassis, plum, raspberry, anise, herbs and vanilla. Full-bodied, the tannins are ripe, but dusty, with an impressive finale. Cellar for a couple of years so everything folds together and then drink for another 15 afterward.
