Banana, peach, tutti frutti, cream, spice, honey and vanilla are present on a medium-bodied frame. The alcohol plays well on the palate, with a creamy texture and excellent length, echoing spice, sweet corn and minerality.
Clear medium-deep garnet. Lovely, complicated ripe red-berry and stewed-rhubarb nose, with tobacco and coffee aromas in the background. Medium-bodied, rich and mature cherry flavours, with high acidity. Tannins nearly gone. A classic for coq au vin, one bottle for the pot, one for you. Drink up.
Clean scents of apple, lemon and toasty almond alert the nose. The lively mousse, firm structure, crisp fruit flavours and dry finish ensure a refreshing quaff. This spectacular value and goes-down-easy style make it a perfect reception sparkler, whether for large gatherings or to greet friends at home.
A serviceable blend of 50% White Grenache, 30% Roussanne and 20% Clairette. Shining white gold colour. Minerally, lemony nose with a note of white blossoms. Medium to full body. Dry, elegant; grapefruit and pear flavours. Great value.
Typically New Zealand SB with a nose of grapefruit, grass and a basket of fresh garden herbs. It’s fresh and crisp on the palate with lively citrus fruit, herbs and touches of guava and mango all spread across a racy beam of acidity.
Up-front citrus notes before a vibrant lemon-lime palate underpinned by bright acidity before a clean, zesty finish.
An uncommon and interesting varietal. Pale silver-yellow with a delicate but complex nose of guava, banana, passion fruit and pineapple. Medium-bodied; lets its Italian heritage show in the balance of slight bitterness and acidity. More fruit in the mouth: lime, pear, and even a hint of coconut, but stays dry. Very versatile food wine.
