50% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 10% Mourvèdre. Full body with lots of character and abundant notes of black olives, black plum, ripe raspberries and black pepper. Round and ripe tannins with soft acidity and a medium finish. A crowd pleaser made for meat stew or hamburgers.
Pinot Noir (56%) and Merlot blend sports red berry aromas with fresh rhubarb and pomegranate notes and added texture from a portion in neutral oak.
Bone-dry, with zippy acidity and profile of lime, mineral, white peach, grapefruit, apple and button mushroom. This is a wine which is made for food, especially oysters, so chill it down and shuck to your heart’s content!
Dense purple in colour, it has a spicy nose of blackberries and pencil lead. Medium-bodied and dry, it’s well-balanced and firmly structured with a lovely, velvety mouth feel. A house wine contender.
Dow is best known for its range of fine Ports. Like other producers in the Douro, however, table wines are becoming an important part of the portfolio. This substantial red is a blend of Tinta Barroca, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz. Deeply perfumed dark fruit bouquet is scented with fine spice. Generously developed dark and red fruits come wrapped in velvety tannins with still rather brash acidity and a dry, tannic bite. Drinking well now with food, but will definitely reward additional cellaring (3 to 5+ years).
This tasty Chardonnay doffs its cap at Burgundy. Straw coloured with a minerally bouquet of sweet lemons and toasty oak, it opens on the palate with mouth-filling apple and white peach flavours. Very good length.
Dark ruby. Deep, fruity nose with generous oak. Thick and even a little rough at this early stage, it needs time to round off its edges. Very tight near the finish. Wait.
