Bright ruby. Red flowers, spices, ripe red fruits and light earth notes in an engaging nose. Light to medium body, fresh fruity taste with notes of fruit stones energized by a bright acidity and slightly firm tannins. Nice fruity finish. Drink within 2 to 3 years.
Bright ruby. Pure and elegant red-fruits notes with well-dosed oak. Bright fruity taste, medium body; built on finesse, not on power, it can be appreciated right now.
A single-vineyard Pinot Noir with a heady perfume of cherry, plum, toast, earth, thyme, iron and spice. The palate is linear but long, with a slightly dry finish which will work well when matched up against a medium-rare magret de canard.
Clos du Soleil’s classic Bordeaux-style blend shows focused intensity with blackcurrant, mixed green herbs and notes of cinnamon and clove on the nose. Rounded, attractively ripe dark fruit on the palate is evident despite rather closed, youthful tannic character. Like a similarly well-constructed Bordeaux, it needs another 5 to 7 years aging.
Aromas of lifted red berries and sage notes followed by vibrant cherry and raspberry with juicy acidity before a spicy end.
Very pale yellow with grey reflections. Delicate white fruit aromas, (surprising) corn and a salty note. Light body; the minerality matches the fruit in the mid-palate for a good balance. Drink now.
This 100% Malbec is sourced from old vines in a single vineyard, Fino Agrelo. The richly complex nose reveals bottle-developed vinosity with harmonious spice and a delicate whiff of vanilla. Fine, developed blackberry flavours are supported by firm, but not overbearing tannic grip, with lingering dark fruit, black chocolate and spice on the finish.
