Dense purple in colour with a bouquet of baked plum and oak spice; medium to full-bodied, dry, black plum flavour carried on lively acidity.
From the estate’s top Chardonnay vines, it has quite a nose of well-integrated pear, apple and elegant spice notes. It’s creamy and rich on the palate with some finesse and verve, but all in all a comfortable, fruit-packed Chardonnay that will match brilliantly with butter-soaked lobster or king crab legs.
Floral, citrus, piquant green herb and a whiff of almond on the nose shift to green fruit with a suggestion of ripe pear flavour on the medium-weight palate. Finishes with a distinct touch of bitter almond. Drink soon.
CC’s incredibly affordable all-rye whisky claimed the title of Sippin’ Whisky of the Year at the 6th annual Canadian Whisky Awards held in Victoria, BC in January. A light and super-fruity nose of pear drops and currant jelly precedes flavours of dark chocolate and candied cherries with contributions from spice-rack staples like clove and aniseed.
This blend of 60% Chenin Blanc, 15% Chardonnay, 15% Cabernet Franc and 10% Pinot Noir spent 6 years on the lees. Pale straw colour. The bouquet is toasty and complex with notes of apple, pear and citrus. High acidity, soft texture and lemon custard flavour. Honey notes on the long finish.
Pale yellow. Citrus, a touch of exotic fruits and a hint of white flowers. Light, very fresh taste thanks to its excellent acidity, some carbonic gas and elevated finish (bitterness). At only 10.5% alcohol, it is perfect to wash down hors-d’oeuvres or white fish. Drink now.
An elegant blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Canaiolo, with persistent nuances of floral, fruit and wood spice throughout. The judicious balance of fresh acidity and fleshy tannins make for a food-friendly, medium-bodied red. A solid choice for Italian dishes.
