Pale yellow. Minerally with a sharp note of striking matches along with citrus and hints of smoke and dry stone. Lively acidity, salty and mineral flavours dominate the light to medium body mid-palate. Good quality overall, drink it over 2 to 3 years.
This is a huge mouthful of rich dark plum, blackberry, plush chewy tannins and a hit of liquorice on the back palate. Powerful and enormously concentrated, it seems almost a meal in itself but will pair best with robust, full-flavoured braised red meat dishes.
Deep garnet in the glass, with pronounced strawberry aromas before a medium-bodied palate defined by juicy acidity, well-balanced oak and a lengthy finish.
Ruby coloured with a violet rim, this tasty red offers a cedary nose of blackcurrants with oak spice. It's medium-bodied, dry, with vibrant red and blackcurrant flavours and lively acidity. Fresh on the palate with a touch of spice on the finish, it's great value.
A great value Riesling. Pale straw colour with a nose of lime, petrol and white honey, light-to-medium-bodied, crisply dry, elegant with lively citrus acidity and good length.
100% Pinot Blanc. Rich palate with opulent notes of brioche, toast, red apple and lemon underlined with chalk. Tangy acid and very fine bubbles. A very interesting Champagne that display intrigue and complexity. Just slightly heavy handed. Still worth buying though! A rare find.
The Vinemount appellation might be better known for Riesling production, but there is no denying the quality of this wine. Mid-weight, it starts with red-berry fruits: cherries, strawberries and raspberries. This is followed by graphite, herbs, cassis, violets and spice. The tannins are ripe and well integrated, allowing for immediate drinkability, and it will continue to improve over the next 7 years.
