This pure Chardonnay wine has a pale golden yellow colour. The nose of ripe white fruits is an invitation to taste. Round, fruity, tender and ripe on the palate, it is charming and delicious right now, so don’t wait.
Dark ruby, purplish rim. Blackberry, cassis, vanilla-oak notes and hints of earthiness. Full-bodied, intense dark-fruit taste with a ripe, tight mid-palate and powdery tannins. Warm finish of good length. Drink or hold for up to 2 years.
A blend of 30% Gewürztraminer, 23% Pinot Gris, 18% Chardonnay, 15% Riesling, 9% Sauvignon Blanc and 5% Viognier. Stone fruit and orchard notes of ripe peach, nectarine and tropical flavours before an off-dry palate with tropical hints and a fruit-salad finish.
I could never tire of this fizz; the crisp, pure and precise linearity in this understated 1er cru is impressive. Didier, 3rd generation of the Gimonnet family, oversees this small Côtes des Blancs grower Champagne house. This wine, like all of their Chardonnay-centric wines, is crystal crisp and bright, with driving linearity through to the lengthy finish. In the cuvée, 5 different harvests provide depth and complexity to this 1er cru, though the base is youthful, keeping the freshness and the piercing acidity of Cuis prominent. Aromas of juicy green apple, sea salt, subtle white flowers and lemon open onto schisty complexity, with chalky purity, vivacious intensity and a shimmery, saline-laced lemon zest to the finish. Chardonnay’s pure elegance and finesse, perfectly expressed.
Quintessential Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc with pink grapefruit, lime, nectarine, passion fruit and fresh peach juice. Zest acidity, medium body and a long fruity/mineral aftertaste.
Dense purple in colour, it has a spicy nose of blackberries and pencil lead. Medium-bodied and dry, it’s well-balanced and firmly structured with a lovely, velvety mouth feel. A house wine contender.
Aged on lees, it exhibits a copper colour with an amber rim. A subtle nose of dark caramel, toasted malt and a touch of coriander will hit your nose, followed by a powerful wet-cereal aroma as it warms up in the glass. It has a rich taste and a velvety texture. The finish is slightly bitter and has a very good length.
