So-called "natural wines" are sometimes a gamble: they are often fragile and don't travel well. This one is in perfect health with its clear, full ruby and garnet rim and perfumed, slightly floral nose with a touch of kirsch. Supple and balanced on the palate, it is wisely oaked and very pleasant to drink.
Savoury fruit-peel aromas with intense scents of peach, pear, citrus and Golden Delicious apple. Rich pear compote and honey-melon flavours wrap around a waxy texture. Apricot and golden raisins resonate on the spicy finish. Enjoy with seafood crepes.
Aromas of gooseberry, grapefruit, lime and a stream of fresh herbs. The fruits turn a bit tropical on the palate with vibrant gooseberry and lime all integrating nicely through the finish. Serve with seasonal vegetables, seafood or chicken.
Beautifully expressive with notes of pineapple and citrus, textural, lightly juicy and herbal with a tight core and minerally finish. More expressive at this stage than in previous vintages, but with the same structure and seeming potential for aging expected of this wine. A versatile food wine that can stand up to flavourful dishes and ones that are heavier than you might expect.
This is a heavenly scented Pinot with perfume, incense, savoury red fruits, plums and elegant spice notes on the nose. With gorgeous flavours of cherries, brambly raspberry and cassis on the palate, this Pinot is carried on a bed of smooth, silky tannins. In behind all that fruit is a vein of iron minerality and barrel spice notes that will open up even more with time in the bottle.
Deep colour, almost black. Nose is subtle but has finesse and richness in its notes of kirsch and licorice. Very supple on the tongue but it shows more firmness in the finish. Ripe, fruity, very elegant middle palate. Still has potential to age another 5 years.
Pale salmon pink. Light nose, slightly creamy with strawberry notes, citrus and hints of flowers. The vivid acidity hits you first with its refreshing feel followed by a light bodied yet tight mid-palate that is almost tannic. Finishes on intense fruit carried by gently warm alcohol.
