Elegant and mouth-filling with slightly ripe tropical fruit showing pineapple, peach and citrus; medium to full body, mineral, with bright acidity and a refreshing finish. Great with halibut.
Shows fine Pinot varietal character with scents of red berry-fruit, earthy barnyard and mushroom aromas. Good depth of succulent red fruit on the palate with savoury overtones suggestive of Old-World style. Very good value.
A seductive nose of black cherry, bramble, violets, forest floor, cassis and underlying spice notes with persistence and personality. It’s medium bodied but shows structure and lovely texture on the palate to go with ripe and evident tannins in support of a rich broth of red fruits, chalky minerality, cassis, anise and elegant wood spices.
Even though the distinctively blinged-out Bottega Gold doesn't carry DOCG on the label, it is entirely DOCG-quality fruit. A quirk in the appellation laws dictate that the bottle has to be made of clear glass in a limited range of shades. Blingy, to be sure, but it's what's inside that counts. Very concentrated nose, with yellow apple, ripe pear and light toast throughout the creamy, gently frothy palate, and a perfumed floral note that floats the finish. Presents on the upper sweetness level for Brut. Unlike most Charmat-produced Prosecco, Bottega Gold is made from Glera grapes, but unlike standard Proseccos, it is produced to order via a single fermentation in the winery's specialized pressurized cuve close tanks for 40 days.
A flagship for the original estate, Bacchus was the stalwart variety which kickstarted the winery. From vines now 35 years old, lifted orchard fruits and tropical notes. Vibrant aromas of orchard fruit before juicy layers of citrus and spice through the off-dry close. Excellent value.
Purplish. Ripe red fruits (cranberry, raspberry) with spicy oak notes. Light body, easy tannins with slight frizzante and bitter taste. Clean, short finish. Drink up. A blend of hybrid grapes Maréchal Foch, Frontenac, St. Croix and Marquette.
From select barrels, a varietally precise and elegant Cabernet defined by up-front cassis and mocha notes, followed by a well-structured plate buoyed by firm but approachable tannins and clean fruit tones. A touch of spicy oak, bramble, red berries and hint of bell pepper before a lingering full-fruited finish.
