Heady, opulent, bold and pretty in-your-face — if that sounds like your cup ‘o wine, then this is probably your cup. Loaded with bramble, cocoa, black cherry, mint, cedar and mocha, this is a big, bold, chewy Zin that nevertheless shows nice balance and depth. Rich and ripe on the palate with dark chocolate, dried herbs, black raspberry and, interestingly, a hint of iodine. If you want to put some muscle where your mouth is.
70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon. Crisp with juicy notes of white peaches, passion fruit and pink grapefruit with discreet notes of well-integrated vanilla coming from new French oak. You could probably put this wine down for a few years but it’s so enjoyable to drink now while the fruit is vibrant and generous. Serve with simply prepared grilled white fish or fresh oysters.
With a frothy, creamy head when poured, this straw-coloured ale has plenty of aromatic hoppy freshness, nutty malt aromas, robust, full-flavoured citrus fruitiness and rich malt character, finishing with lingering, very dry hoppy bitterness.
Firm, fresh and focused, nicely textural, citrus and floral, minerally and salty with juicy, mouth-watering acidity. 70% Loureiro, 30% Alvarinho. An incredible bargain with freshness and backbone.
