From the recently sold Sundial Vineyard, 2/3 Sauvignon Blanc with 1/3 Sémillon. Creamy vanilla and toasty notes on top precede a leesy, textured palate of orchard and stone fruit. This will likely be the 1 of the 2 last vintages of a once-iconic BC white blend, the grapes to be pulled out to make way for more red Bordeaux varieties.
Deep pink in colour with a minerally nose of raspberries with an earthy note. More full-bodied than most dry rosés with mouth-filling flavours: a raspberry and white pepper with a floral top note.
Blended from their darkest, full-bodied lots. Exudes a young, intense Vintage Port style with its blast of dark fruits and menthol hit on the nose. Rich, concentrated, structured and loaded with ripe blackberry, plums, cherries, cedar and baking spices. Satisfyingly sweet finish. A loyal friend of chocolate.
Lovely, full bodied and elegant with masses of berry, dark chocolate and vanilla flavours, velvety tannins and a long finish. Essentially a Brunello at a fraction of the price.
Fruit sourced from Black Sage Terrace vineyards of sandy loam over granite, sand and gravel within close proximity. A blend of Grenache (35%), Syrah (33%), Mourvedre (32%), open top fermented, aged 14 months in neutral French oak. Inviting red and black wild berry fruits lead to a complex and layered palate of raspberry, damson and blackberry notes wrapped in well integrated, approachable tannins, with good structure and juicy mouthfeel through a lengthy end with a distinctly mineral streak.
Viognier (45%), Roussanne (40%) and Marsanne (15%) from the Osoyoos East Bench, with minimal intervention and stainless-steel fermented separately. Vibrant upfront floral, citrus and stone-fruit notes before a textured and luscious full-bodied palate with notes of nectarine and honey, plus a touch of minerality and lingering citrus in the finish.
Trend is king and Stone City Ales have been branching out into lager styles over the last few years. This take on a Helles lager features Mandarina Bavaria and Sladek, newer European hops varieties. The aroma features lime leaf, green pepper flesh and chrysanthemum with candied orange emerging on the palate as bitterness and a peachy, floral retro-nasal interest. Exuberant for the style.
