Dense purple colour; spicy, plum nose with vanilla oak notes; medium-bodied, dry, fruity but firm. An easy drinking wine.
San Juan is located to the north of Mendoza. Purple colour; sweet red and black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), spicy oak. The intense fruity taste fills the mouth along with barely rough tannins. Tame acidity, nice round middle palate. Generous and pleasant to drink now.
Nose is surprisingly austere. Astringent notes somewhat mask the scents of plum, cherry and a whiff of clove. More inviting character emerges on the palate with richly rounded flavours of black cherry and dark chocolate. A concentrated, forceful wine leaning more towards power than finesse. Needs cellaring.
Bright straw in colour. Floral, lime and grapefruit zest on the nose. Medium body, dry; mouth-filling lime flavour with a honeyed note. Beautifully balanced. Roll out a spread of pâté and foie gras.
Bright ruby with a purplish rim. Morello cherry, raspberry, fruit stones and cranberry make the fruity inspired nose very attractive. The medium-bodied mid-palate has significant volume and a velvety texture that wraps the gently firm tannic core with crunchy fruit flavours. Drinking well now, it will hold 3 to 4 years.
One of the best value traditional method sparkling wines you will find from France! Toast, peach, pear, binned apple, lemon, mushroom and spiciness are all present. The rich texture, lively acidity and protracted finale make for one fine bubbly! A blend of Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Mauzac.
Apple skins lead the nose and are supported by soft baking spices. On the palate, ripe and juicy Red Delicious apple sweetness and a cinnamon-heart candy kick are kept from being cloying thanks to lemony acidity.
