Full and rich, with bristling spices livening the lemon curd, honeydew and vanilla oats. A hint of mint and ample shaved wood closes out the finish. Full bodied and expansively rich on the palate, this has a steady hum of bright acidity working overdrive, but keeping pace. Youthful, this should settle some with another year or so in bottle, but will always make a match with richer white seafood or creamy shellfish.
This is a strapping Cab at 14.5% alcohol. Dense purple-black in colour, it presents a nose of blackcurrant and cedar tinged with vanilla oak. Full-bodied and mouth-filling; the fruit is sweet but kept in check by a lively spine of acidity.
Clear light amber. Aromas of bruised apple, lychee, rose petals with caramel and a hint of varnish. Viscous and unctuous on the palate, tasting of caramel apple, honey and maple syrup with just enough acidity to keep it drinkable. Drinking well now, will last a little longer.
Light straw in colour with a greenish tint; spicy, grassy, gooseberry and vanilla oak nose; medium-bodied, dry, elegant, beautifully balanced gooseberry and elderberry flavours with lively acidity. Lovely mouthfeel.
Made from 100% Vespaiola, this sweet dessert wine displays honey, poached pears, apricots, roasted nuts, cinnamon and notes of fresh topical fruits. It's not overpoweringly sweet on the palate, more like wild honey integrated into the ripe fruits that are weighty and thick on the palate. Such wonderful sweet nutmeg/caramel spices. Pair with fruit tarts and creamy cheeses.
Medium ruby. Ripe cherry, raspberry, soft spices and earthy notes of mushroom. Ripe fruity taste, bone dry mouthfeel. The finely grained tannins, the tingling acidity and the warm finish combine in a generous style that somewhat sacrifices balance and harmony. Drink up.
Aromas of mocha and smoky herbal notes shift to strawberry and red cherry, with gentle tannins, spice and a splash of milk chocolate in the mouth. A lighter-bodied Pinot with some charm.
