Loads of blackberry and black cherry with a good balance of dried herbs; mildly floral, firm, fruit-laden tannins and a lifted finish.
France’s Midi region is a crescent-shaped zone that stretches along the Mediterranean coast from the Spanish border to the mouth of the Rhône River. An ideal climate for growing Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. This wine is dense purple in colour; savoury flavours of blackcurrant and blackberry with liquorice and dark chocolate fill the mouth to a finish of dusty tannins.
Almost water white, this organically grown Riesling has a nose of peach pit with a floral note; medium bodied with a peachy-citrus flavour and a touch of bitterness on the finish.
Savoury and crunchy notes of sour cherries and raspberries with bright acid and subtle pleasing violet and earthy nuances. Light and fresh with delicate chalky tannins. Serve slightly chilled with grilled tuna, rabbit or Peking duck.
Classic Hardie style of reductive winemaking in play here. Currently, it is the new wood that dominates, with smoky minerals, lemon, lime and green apple snuggling up. Bright acidity, fine length and a modest 12.2% alcohol make for a refined drop of Chardonnay.
Shows very dark, stout-like colour with aromas of nutty dry malt and a hint of dark chocolate. Smoothly rounded on the palate with milk and dark chocolate and fruity and malty flavours. Finishes with preserved fruit, chocolate, dry hops and spicy, rum-infused warming alcohol. A complex, smooth, powerful brew, and dangerously easy to drink!
Dark in colour with aromas of mocha and coffee. Has the body of a stout, but the creaminess of chocolate milk. A delicious beer showing flavours of dark chocolate, brown sugar, cherries, coffee and mocha mousse. Smooth and creamy, full flavoured but not heavy with a bright drinkability and great balance — but be careful — it’s 9% but doesn’t taste like it … it sneaks up on you. Great beer!
