Almost lemon yellow in the glass, this stylish traditional method sparkler shows fine persistent bead with an elegant floral bouquet and complex citrus and toasty brioche notes. Richly flavoured on the palate with lemon, lime, subtle suggestions of berry fruit, attractively balanced acidity and a touch of chalky mineral on the long, satisfying finish. Great value!
The first sip transports you immediately to the sunny climes of the Peloponnese. Medium body with a slightly oily texture and notes of stone fruit and dried herbs underlined by lemon zest. The fresh acidity and pleasant bitterness provide the necessary element to pair with scallop ceviche or roasted lemon chicken. Great value.
This vintage of Rosewood’s Sémillion is lighter than last year’s rendition. Aromatically, it has the lanolin, peach and honey qualities associated with the varietal, but then a “Grüner” quality emerges in the form of white pepper and herbs. The palate exudes refreshing acidity, and there is very good length.
Toast and a sweep of sweet brioche opens the nose of this Blanc de Noirs, 100% Pinot Noir from the heavy clay, limestone-laced soils of Buxeuil and Polisy in the Côte des Bar. The Moutard family have been making wine since the 17th century, and this is their flagship wine. 36 months on the lees, this full and toasty NV draws cherry and nuts along a creamy, doughy palate. A pin-prickling acidity lifts the weight to a lingering finish. A richer style, to pair with protein, at an excellent price.
Ruby colour. Lightly cedary nose of black raspberries. Medium-bodied, dry, greater concentration of flavour than the QG’s regular Pinot. Rich black raspberry flavour carried on lively acidity to a firm finish of resolved tannins.
An explosive nose of dark plum, cassis, mint, balsamic, liquorice and vanilla are all present in this wine that shows a combination of ripeness and elegance. Long finish and ready to drink now over the next 7 years.
Refined, complex developing dark fruit and fine cinnamon spice on the nose. Surprisingly developed dark fruit with firm but approachable tannins. Youthful acidity apparent but manageable. Well integrated and deftly oaked on the finish.
