Fresh floral and yellow fruit scents lead the way for delicate lemon citrus, melon and tropical fruit, supported by firm mineral and lively acidity. Medium-length finish.
Bright straw in colour with a spicy, oaky, toasty nose of apples and grilled nuts. Full-bodied, dry, and richly extracted. Buttery, apple and lemon flavours with an engaging note of bitterness on the finish.
Truly authentic Prosecco, like this one, comes from the hilly DOCG region between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene. Gentle spritz, sappy green fruit with a discreet drop of honey, refreshingly light alcohol and moderate acidity exemplify Prosecco’s easy charm.
Soft, easy drinking and juicy, this 100% Tempranillo is all about cherry, plum, strawberry, tobacco and cedar. Ready to drink alongside grilled sausage or spaghetti and meatballs.
In the same way as its companion white, this full-bodied red is buried in oak for an entire year in the vineyard where the grapes were grown. Scientifically minded winemaker Mike Mainguy is skeptical about the process, but admits the wine emerges with additional complexity. This one shows developed dark fruit, coffee, chocolate and a whiff of dried herb on the nose. Bitter cherry, plum and dark chocolate flavours have a slightly smoky accent, somewhat aggressive acidity and dark fruit and chocolate on the long finish. Not everyone’s buried treasure, but worth a try.
Floral and tropical notes on top before a layered and generous off-dry palate of lychee, guava and citrus hints with a lingering end.
Rich yellow. The nose is discreet but fresh and refined with notes of yellow fruits and buttery oak. Seems light on the palate but there is a richness in the full, fatty mid-palate that is impressive. Turns more oaky in the very long finish. Sophisticated and age-worthy.
