Blend of mainly Merlot (68%) with Cabernet Franc (11%) Cabernet Sauvignon (8%) Petit Verdot (8%) and Malbec (5%) from an exceptional vintage (one of the best on record). Lifted black fruit and hints of cedar and spice on the nose, followed by a bold but elegant palate defined by firm but already approachable tannins, balanced by good acidity with a lingering, gently spicy end. Arguably the best to date.
Marlborough Pinot Noir is fruited up with 30% Pinot Gris in this fuller, juicy rosé. There's ample spice riding a wave of plump cherry, raspberry fruit, red apple, finishing with a splash of spice and an ample dose of candied mandarin. Ripe, round and soft, with a good swig of sweet, this requires a chill and drinking this summer for best effect.
Very pale, tiny bubbles. Engaging nose of bread dough and delicate notes of white fruits. Clean taste, fruity and fresh. Light body; noticeable bitterness in the finish.
The deep ruby colour heralds the plum, cherry, vanilla, mocha, herbs and graphite. The palate is a combination of richness and tannin, which will allow for 5 years of aging ahead. Duck confit or a bison burger are perfect partners for this rock-solid Merlot.
Purplish rim. Red and black berries, pastry notes from the oak. Bright taste of red fruits, thick texture, generous chewy tannins and a good dose of alcohol for warmth, especially in the finish.
Pale yellow. Distinctive and slightly perfumed nose, subdued minerality. Nice volume on the palate, good balance. Straightforward and ready to drink.
Made from 100% Pinot Noir, whole bunch-pressed then fermented in large neutral oak with indigenous yeast; leesy toned with vibrant apple skin, red berry, tannin and bright acidity.
