The “top of the hill” proprietary name captures its vineyards’ locale. Unleashes seductive aromas of violets, black cherry and smoky pepper, followed by sweet, concentrated red fruit flavours. The combination of robust flavours, supple texture, plush tannins and full-bodied frame offers a Rubenesque wine, if you will. Super-long, spicy finish. Ready now for barbecued meats.
Pale straw in colour with a spicy, minerally, grapefruit nose with a honeyed note; light to medium-bodied, just off-dry with grapefruit and honey flavours and fresh citrus acidity giving the wine great length.
Made from Canadian rye as well as the customary malted barley, this red/amber coloured ale opens with rich malty and fruity aromas with a whiff of spice. Rounded, lightly sweet dried fruit and malt flavours come with medium weight on the palate, gentle effervescence and an agreeable light bitterness on the finish.
Wow! What a lovely old-school Verdejo from the Rueda DO. The nose shows white peach, guava and apricot with dried herbs and spice. It has enough acidity to lift the lemon and apricot fruit with a balanced approach to the spice. It’s juicy yet fresh and lively through the finish. Great match with white fish.
Dark ruby. Medium-intensity nose of perfectly ripe red and black fruits. The fruit flavours are forward on the palate, texture is rich and velvety. Finish is firm, intense and very long.
Light ruby. Enticing, typical Pinot Noir nose of small red fruits, spicy notes and touches of vanilla and earth. Crunchy fruit taste; hints of fruit stones enliven the middle palate. Very nice, the supple finish has great balance. Drinks beautifully now and will for the next 5 years or so.
One of the best Syrahs from a Canadian vineyard I’ve tasted. Dense purple in colour with a savoury-herbal nose of black fruits and a smoky note; full-bodied, dry and fruity on the palate with lively acidity. Beautifully balanced with savoury blackberry and dark chocolate flavours enhanced by a floral note; fresh finish.
