Big aromas of jammy cherry, blackberry, vanilla and pepper. It’s quite smooth on the palate with fleshy fruit and layers of spice. An easy drinking style at an affordable price. Pairs up well with grilled red meats.
Medium-deep yellow, young-looking for its age, with oodles of fine bubbles. Robust nose of pears, ripe McIntosh apples, pastry dough and a bit of pineapple. Full-bodied, clearly mature but still fresh; has the balance and strength of a ballerina, with citrus and peach flavours. Ready to drink, but worth keeping for a while too.
Garnet with a tiled rim. Seductive nose, mostly floral and delicately oaky with hints of tar. Tight on the palate, the tannins seem delicate and silky at first but they reveal their strength in the very firm and impressively long, dry finish.
An unfiltered style of LBV, the wine is opaque black/purple with a soaring bouquet of plum, blackberry, crème de cassis, raspberry, violets, raisins and spice. Concentrated, powerful and sweet, it is very much enjoyable right now but should age well for a decade.
This beauty spends 18 months in French oak. It has a rich, appealing nose of concentrated black cherries, blackcurrants, wild berries, toasted vanilla, sweet tobacco and fine oak spices. The flavours explode on the palate with earthy red fruits, cassis, graphite, elegant spice notes and dried herbs on a structured frame of fine tannins and long finish.
Amber/old gold in colour with an unctuous nose of honey, butter and barley sugar; full-bodied, spicy, orange and honey flavour. Sweet but beautifully balanced with mouth-freshening acidity; great balance and great length. A triumph from Nova Scotia. One of the best Riesling Icewines I've tasted.
These rocky hillside estate grapes (50% Cab Sauv, 27% Merlot, 23% Cab Franc) saw a mix of French and American oak (60% new). Bold floral, dark fruit and sweet tobacco aromas. Mouth-filling, full-bodied palate, rich with cassis, cocoa and fig, and finishing with spice and sweet vanilla. Hold to integrate the ripe tannins.
