Fleshy dark fruit scents with red currant, a dry herbal aroma, a pinch of cinnamon and a trace of liquorice on the nose. Shifts to blackberry and blackcurrant flavours backed by dense tannins, black chocolate and a firm dry finish.
Full ruby. Red berry fruits and a floral hint. Very fruity on the palate, elegant, tight and full with fine tender tannins that show more grip in the finish. Drink or wait a few years.
Alluring aromas with a great balance between floral, fruity and nutty notes. Apple, citrus, fresh herbs, hazelnut and bracing acidity are all elegantly combined with finesse and complexity, penetrating intensity and a long, clean dry finish. A blend of 75% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot Noir.
Complex aromas feature game meat, woodsy forest, earthy spice and roast coffee. Their most robust edition to date, with rich blackcurrant, wild berries and meaty notes. Finishes with lingering liquorice and minerality. Needs another year or 2 to soften the muscular tannins.
Clear inky-deep plum red. Medium-intensity nose of black cherry and black pepper. Lots more black cherry on the palate, full-bodied with a long finish. High alcohol makes it a bit hot. Needs another couple of years.
From South Australia, this venerable blend shows bright red cherry-berry, mint and light spices on the nose. It gets more complex on the palate with cherry, plum and currant spices with added black pepper, wood spice and soft tannins through the finish.
Nose is on the shy side but not without depth with notes of blackberries and subtle oak. More expressive in the generously fruity mid-palate, tight and firm yet elegant with refined tannins. Will keep until 2020 and beyond.
