Sometimes likened to Sancerre, this lesser known Loire appellation represents very good value. A little shy on the nose but displays elegantly perfumed floral and green fruit, opening the way for supple green fruit flavours in an attractively creamy texture with well-modulated acidity and a light touch of mineral.
This 50/50 blend of indigenous Assyrtiko and Malagousia expresses itself in the form of flowers, peach, spice, apple and honey. Medium bodied, the finish carries long, with a streak of minerals working their way into the mix. Pair it with grilled swordfish and sautéed rapini or roast pork marinated in lemon, olive oil and oregano.
Up front warm, ripe notes of red berries precede a plush cherry and strawberry toned, medium bodied palate underpinned by elegant savoury and spice notes finishing with pure fruit flavours and good structure, balanced by silky tannins.

A bargain-priced wine made from a blend of port grapes. Dense purple colour with a nose of spicy black berries; full-bodied, dry and fruity with earthy notes, firm structure with ripe tannins.
A 10-year-old claret that needs another 5 years at least in the cellar. Dense purple colour with a spicy, cedary, tobacco and currant nose; medium-bodied, dry, well-extracted plum and blackcurrant flavours; firmly structured and still youthful.
