Bright blueberry and Five-spice infuse the gamey, savoury aromas. The dense, rich palate showcases well the concentrated raspberry and black cherry flavours. French oak barriques (50% new) imbue structure and fine-grained tannins. Long, complex finish satisfies. Serve with game meat in fruit sauce.
Grown on two well established sites in Osoyoos. Hand harvested and cold fermented in stainless steel for 17 days. Orchard fruits and citrus notes on the nose with a hint of orange blossom followed by a focused palate of nectarine and honey with a fresh finish with a hint of minerality.
Here is yet another impressive bottling from Coyote’s 2010 red lineup. Boysenberry, plum, cassis, vanilla, mocha and roasted herbs are built on a solid backbone of tannins. Combined with excellent length, it will age well for the next 5 to 7 years.
Vinous, juicy and balanced with fresh acidity, integrated elegant tannins and a delicious mouth-watering quality that encourages you to take each subsequent taste. Great with typical Piedmontese dishes such as carne cruda and vitello tonnato, but would also match with roast duck breast and grilled sausages.
Typical Chilean Cabernet aromatic profile offers piquant blackcurrant and fresh green herb with background ripe blackberry. Sweet ripe blackberry leads on the palate, with rounded tannins, clean, well-balanced acidity and a splash of dark chocolate.
A hint of pale salmon in the glass. Lifted notes of orchard and stone fruits followed by a fresh, juicy entry of apple, pear, peach and lychee with a touch of minerality in the finish.
From East York in Toronto, the Hefeweizen took gold at the recent Ontario Brewing Awards, and no wonder. Soft in texture, with a lightly creamy wheat body, neither the banana nor clove derived from fermentation overwhelm this beer, and the transition on the palate from sweetness to a small wheaty acid tang on the finish lends refreshment.
