Light straw in colour, this bargain-priced Ontario wine has a nose of apple, lemon and undergrowth; it's medium-bodied, dry, with apple and peach flavours and a floral note on the end taste. It's got good length on the palate. Match it with grilled fish or chicken.
A classic Bordeaux blend of 40% Sémillon, 40% Sauvignon and 20% Muscadelle, this is a lively, aromatic wine showing floral and slightly wild green herbal character with typical grassy green fruit freshness. It is not as exuberant on the palate but nicely balanced with a smooth agreeable finish. Pair with shellfish, especially oysters on the half shell.
Clear medium-deep gold. Medium-intensity nose of orange, and grapefruit and lime peel drizzled with a lot of caramel. Medium-bodied, bone-dry but grapey and fruity, with a hint of pine nuts on the finish. Good acidity provides structure for this unusually elegant Muscat. Drink up.
This 15% Cabernet Sauvignon is ripe, lush and velvety. It offers wall-to-wall dark raspberry, blackberry, plum, cassis and chocolate flavours. It is quite flattering right now, but it has the stuffing to go another 5 to 6 years.
Charmat-method sparkler made from Sémillon grapes. Medium lemon-yellow colour with bubbles, of course. Nice aromas of peaches, apricots and yeast. Sweetly appealing, like “Juicy Fruit” with peach and tangerine flavours. A crowd-pleaser.
The nose displays integrated pear, apple and lemon fruit with toasted spices along a vein of minerality. It shows great freshness and verve on the palate with quince and citrus fruit joined harmoniously with the inherent minerality this vineyard consistently delivers. This wine is more about balance than rich, layered fruits, and should bring pleasure for many years to come.
Fermented with native yeast and aged in large concrete tanks for 11 months. Lifted red fruits, cherry and strawberry notes precede a medium-bodied palate with supple tannins and fresh-crushed berry notes over a darker, savoury background with some earthy undertones and spice notes.
