Kicks off with lively plum, black cherry and spice on the nose introducing succulent, mouth-filling flavours of black plum and bitter cherry. Classic, food friendly acidity, spicy dark fruit, agreeable tannic bite and a touch of almond on the long, satisfying finish make this a great example of Dolcetto the way it was meant to be!
Aromatic with loads of strawberry, raspberry, citrus and cranberry, juicy acidity, and great balance and weight. Hits far above its price point. A blend of Vinhão and Touriga Nacional. Roasted suckling pig or tandoori chicken are ideal.
Notes of ripe apple, pear and sweet citrus on the nose. It’s a fruity, slightly sweet Grigio with plenty of acid to balance it all out. A summer sipper.
Full ruby. Ripe red fruits, smoke and a hint of barnyard on the nose. Nice medium body, good fruity taste, balanced and overall quite tight on the palate. Good buy.
Starting to show mature notes of crème brûlée, which melds with hazelnut, vanilla, apple, pear, baking spice and quince. Medium body with a creamy texture. Butter-poached lobster would be nirvana with this wine.
This, the first release of this wine, was made from young vines, but there is nothing juvenile about it. The bouquet doles out cherries, flowers and spice. On the attack, it is elegant and linear, but long-lasting. It drinks well now, but given the acidity and tannin, it should age well over the next 3 years.
Pouring a deep gold with brilliant clarity and large bubbles, this sparkling UK cider is a new arrival in Canada. Made from a blend of oak and stainless-aged apple juices, aged up to 18 months, this entry-level cider has enough complexity to satisfy more educated sippers. A bright pome fruit aroma on the nose is followed by a sip that balances sweetness with bright acidity and backing notes of light oak, vanilla, apple pie crust and leather.
