Cherry, plum and lightly spicy scents with a pungently earthy but appetizing overtone and a whiff of green herb on the nose. Characteristic black cherry and dark plum flavours kick in on the palate supported by balanced acidity and light tannic grip. Well made, food-friendly and solid value.
An innovation from Budweiser, this beer features the presence of Jim Beam barrel staves. Perhaps it is the connotation of the name, but there is a small metallic presence on the nose along with overripe banana and a touch of coconut from the oak. The caramel sweetness of the body suffers a little distraction from oak tannin. Better in concept than execution.
Ruby-purple. Fresh fruity nose of raspberry, blackberry and a hint of white pepper. Light- to medium-bodied, a well-dosed vegetal note keeps it fresh in the supple, crunchy-fruity mid-palate. Clean finish with a good length. Ideal now on charcuterie.
Pale straw colour with a hint of lime, this tasty Riesling offers a minerally, green peach nose overlaid with a note of honey; light to medium-bodied, dry, with floral, green apple and green melon flavours; a beautifully balanced wine.
A delightfully fragrant nose includes vanilla and cocoa, while the palate shows off flavours of red fruits, root beer and cured meats. The higher elevation vineyards bring out bright acidity upfront, which balances the well-structured mid-palate and long dense, back end. Serve with marinated pork tenderloin.
Pale yellow. Oak-dominated nose of buttery notes hovering over fruity aromas of pear and apple with hints of smoke and flint. Creamy mouthfeel energized by fine acidity. Nice balance throughout; the full finish is very satisfying. Drink or hold.
A very reliable Riesling vintage after vintage. Pale straw in colour; spicy, minerally nose of honeyed grapefruit; light-bodied, off-dry, honey, grapefruit and lemon flavours that finish crisply with good length.
