A job well done as Malvoire winemaker, Shiraz Mottiar, has turned in a serious Cabernet Sauvignon from a challenging red wine vintage in Niagara. On the full end of the spectrum, there is a complex mix of cassis, chocolate, green olive, violets, tobacco, spice, cocoa and vanilla. Great length and ready to serve alongside a rack of lamb.
Golden Mile and 24% Black Sage fruit co-fermented with 9% Viognier. Black fruit and pepper on the nose, followed by a luscious but well-balanced, well-textured palate of black fruit, spicy notes, approachable tannins wrapped in good acidity and definite oak before a lengthy finish.
The deep ruby colour heralds the plum, cherry, vanilla, mocha, herbs and graphite. The palate is a combination of richness and tannin, which will allow for 5 years of aging ahead. Duck confit or a bison burger are perfect partners for this rock-solid Merlot.
This unusual Méthode Traditionelle bubble is a 50/50 blend of two Savoie regional varieties, Molette and Altesse. Bottle aged for 36 months prior to release, it shows burnished gold in the glass with fine mousse, green fruit and subtle honeycomb scents. The green fruit theme persists on the palate, suggesting ripe green apple with elusive, exotic kiwi fruit overtones. Bright acidity and stony mineral contrast with the creaminess and lingering fruitiness on the finish.
From Osoyoos vineyards, aged 18 months in French and American oak. Aromas of red and black fruit with some vanilla and spice notes before a plush, full-bodied mulberry and raspberry palate with a touch of acidity. Approachable tannins and black pepper notes through the close.
A mature sparkler of great quality. Old gold in colour with a nose of toast and grilled hazelnuts; medium-bodied, dry, apple and honey flavours with balancing citrus acidity.
Mellow green fruit with discernible gooseberry and grassy herbal scents on the nose. Generously ripe green and citrus fruit emerge on the palate, with solid mineral grip and pleasantly refreshing acidity.
