For those of you looking for a little something extra in your pink wines, this rosé made of Zinfandel from Lodi, California just might be the wine for you. The nose shows fresh raspberry, cherry and white flower notes. It’s clean and vibrant on the palate with red fruits joined by cassis and currant notes and a touch of tangerine in a perfectly dry style. An all-season rosé.
Rich and fruity, with roasted plum, fig, wild raspberry and dark cherry flavours, spice and a lifted, mouth-filling finish.
Fresh and juicy with strawberry, cherry and citrus aromas and flavours. Slightly fizzy with a touch of residual sweetness on the finish. A great match with spicy Italian sausage, bratwurst and pulled pork.
Dark brown colour with just a rim of thick foam. Dark chocolate and caramel notes, heavily toasted. Velvety mouthfeel, almost thick texture with just enough acidity to keep it fresh on the palate. A tad of bitterness helps there too. A beer to drink slowly to fully appreciate its richness.
A nose of bright stone fruits, melon and flowers. It’s quite fresh on the palate with peach, melon and citrus fruit notes in a clean, crisp style. A nice pairing with white fish and chicken or simply as an aperitif.
The vineyard, planted in 1997, is named for Canadian Marq De Villiers, who wrote The Heartbreak Grape. Deep ruby in colour with a bouquet of black cherries and vanilla oak; full-bodied, rich and dense. Cellar for 2–3 years.
Young and tight at the moment with a promise of very good things to come. The nose shows savoury dark fruits, barrel spice, lavender, toasted vanilla and white pepper. It displays a range of rich and robust red and dark fruits on the palate, rousing spices notes all delivered on a bed of softening tannins.
