Full of the flavours of strawberry, raspberry, tart currants, pomegranate seeds, blood orange and grapefruit citrus, with notes of spice. Fresh and vinous with a lively finish. A great texture and brightness to match with salmon, arctic char and beef or lamb crudo. 63% Pinot Noir, 27% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Meunier.
Straw yellow. Ripe nose with delicate citrus notes over well-dosed fine oak, hints of white flowers. Grassy notes develop in the glass. The vivid acidity is in contrast with the mellow richness brought by the oak. The intense flavour has finesse and persistence. Aging potential of 3-4 years.
Dark ruby. Red and black berries, hints of smoke and leather. Light to medium body, slightly acidic with a soft texture and mild tannins, overall a bit rustic in its character. Good length. Drink now.
The Saunders Vineyard has always played a supporting role in comparison to the Wismer Vineyard, but it’s all a matter of style. This is a highly elegant wine, a bit closed at the moment but still imparting spiced apple, creamy vanilla and pear aromas. On the palate, look for layered fruits, stony minerality, oak spice and finesse through the finish.
Ruby colour. Red fruits dominate the rather simple nose. Nice in the mouth, it has a bright fruity taste and a nice balance. A pleasant wine that will drink easily with simple dishes.
Organically made. Medium-deep old brass colour. Big nose rises out of the snifter with honey, ripe pear, stewed peaches, raw tobacco and caramel — aromas do not get much better than this. On the palate it offers golden raisins and ripe peaches and pears, but the alcohol is a bit hot and the finish is woody.
Clear, very deep garnet. Aromas of plums and raspberries, with coffee and a bit of barnyard. Medium-bodied with cherry and raspberry flavours accompanied by noticeable acidity and prominent tannins, but it is drinking at its best now.
