Very pale in colour but with a really intense bouquet and flavour. On the nose, it's green pepper with honeyed lemon notes. On the full-bodied palate, you experience generous grapefruit and melon flavours with a crisp, lingering finish.
Clear pale garnet. Reserved nose of good Pinot Noir typicity, raspberries and violets. Appealing raspberry fruit with prominent acidity accented by spice from oak maturation. Drink up.
Characteristic Kiwi aromatic grassy herbal and green-fruit intensity with a distinct asparagus note. Rounder flavours than the nose suggests, with asparagus, passion fruit and a hint of gooseberry supported by bracing acidity, grippy mineral and lingering green fruit on the finish.
The folks at this New Zealand winery’s PR department are calling this version of Kim Crawford SB “the vintage of a lifetime.” I’m not a huge fan of the hype machine, but I do agree that the 2013 Kim Crawford is a very nice wine. It has a pure and classic nose of passion fruit, lime, citrus and hints of grass and herbs. It’s fresh and vibrant on the palate with juicy citrus, pineapple and gushing lime against a vibrant backbone of racy acidity that’s all nicely balanced.
Fresh herbal, lemony aromas join whiffs of lime zest. Succulent acidity sets up the rich gooseberry mid-palate, accompanied by hints of ripe peach and guava. Clean, citrus finish clears path for refreshing minerality. Very elegantly structured, so pairs well with a wide range of fish fillets.
Very pale yellow colour with green reflections. Sharp nose; grassy, gooseberry and citrus notes. Lively attack, cutting acidity, very refreshing on the palate with an intense citrusy flavour of grapefruit. Drink now on sushis or similar Asian food.
Here, you will find a punchy Sauvignon with passion fruit, tropical, peach, ammonia, white flower and lime qualities. It is cleanly made with a light body and tangy finale. Pair with chèvre or sautéed shrimps in a lemon sauce.
